Terms of Service
Last updated 23 September 2026
1. Who can use Thuolo
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done under your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us.
2. What Thuolo is
Thuolo collects public job postings, scores them against the profile you give us, keeps a pipeline of the ones you save, sends you alerts, and offers AI tools for resumes, LinkedIn profiles and interview practice. We add, change and remove features as we go.
Thuolo is not a recruiter, an employment agency or a career adviser. We do not guarantee that any job is still open, that a posting is accurate, that an employer will respond, or that you will be hired. Applying always happens on the employer’s own site, under their terms.
3. AI output
Match scores, resume drafts, LinkedIn suggestions, interview feedback and copilot replies are produced by AI models and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. The Resume Studio is designed to draw only on what you have written, but you are responsible for checking every draft before you use it. Do not submit anything to an employer that is not true about you.
4. Your content
Your resume, profile, notes, posts and comments remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them to run the service, including sending them to the AI and email providers named in the Privacy Policy. Only upload material you have the right to use.
Jothuolo posts are published under a pseudonym to other signed-in users. Do not post anyone’s personal contact details, confidential information you are bound not to share, or anything defamatory, harassing or unlawful. We may remove content that breaks these terms and may close accounts that do it repeatedly.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- access another person’s account or data;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-download Thuolo, or resell access to it;
- use Thuolo to send spam, or to misrepresent yourself to employers;
- interfere with the service, probe its security, or overload it deliberately;
- use the job data to build a competing listing service.
Ordinary use, including a lot of it, is fine.
6. Job listings and third parties
Postings come from employers’ public applicant-tracking boards and public aggregator feeds. They belong to the employers and boards that published them, and we show them to help you find and apply for work. Links lead to sites we do not control. If you are an employer or board operator and want a listing removed or corrected, email us and we will act promptly.
7. Price
Thuolo has a free plan, and the job board itself is free to everyone. Some features that call an AI model on your behalf are metered in monthly credits; paid plans raise that allowance. Nobody is asked for a card to create an account.
Every account created before 23 September 2026 keeps a founding plan: the same monthly allowance as Student Pro, at no cost, for as long as the account exists. The previous version of this section said Thuolo was free and that you would be told before that changed. This is that notice, and the founding plan is how the promise is kept for people who were already here.
Credits reset on the first of each month and do not roll over. They are an allowance, not currency: they have no cash value, cannot be bought separately, transferred, or redeemed, and an unused balance is not refundable at the end of a month or when an account closes.
8. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Paid plans are not available yet. Nothing on Thuolo charges a card today. This section describes how paid plans will work, and it will be in force before any plan can be bought — you will see these terms, and have to agree to them, at the point of purchase rather than only here.
A paid plan renews automatically until you cancel. A monthly plan renews every month and an annual plan renews every year, each on the anniversary of the day you subscribed, charged to the payment method on file at the price shown on the pricing page at the time of renewal. If that price changes, we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand, and the change applies only from your next renewal.
You can cancel at any time, in the same place you subscribed — the Billing page, in two clicks, with no email to write and nobody to talk to. Cancelling stops the next charge; your plan and its allowance continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account returns to the free plan rather than closing. We will email you a confirmation.
Refunds. If you cancel within 14 days of a first purchase or of a renewal, email us and we will refund that charge in full. After 14 days, payments are not refundable except where the law requires it — and where it does, it does, whatever this paragraph says.
Student pricing requires an email address issued to you by the institution you are enrolled at, confirmed by a link we send to that address. Alumni addresses do not qualify. We re-confirm once a year. If the claim was untrue or stops being true, we may move the account to the standard price at the next renewal — we will tell you first, and we will not backdate a charge.
9. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile page. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that the law requires us to close; where we can, we will say why and give you a chance to export your data first. Sections 3, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.
10. No warranty
Thuolo is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it accurate and running but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any posting or score is correct. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, lost income or lost data, arising from your use of Thuolo. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to sue at home, nothing here takes that away. Before filing anything, email us: most problems are fixed in a day.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Thuolo infringes your copyright, email doduor@sfsu.edu with the work, the location of the material, your contact details and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised. We will remove infringing material and, where appropriate, close repeat infringers’ accounts.
14. Changes
We will update this page when the terms change and update the date at the top. Significant changes get an email before they take effect. Continuing to use Thuolo after that date means you accept the new terms.
